This route permits transfers of employees and graduate trainees between a company operating in different countries to the UK. If you are going to be transferred, then you will need to show you have previous overseas employment within the company group for at least 12 months, unless you are a high earner (salaries over £73,900). High earners do not need to show a minimum period of past overseas employment prior to the transfer.
As this is a sponsored route, you will need to be transferring with an employer who is sponsored by the Home Office in the UK to employ overseas workers. The UK based job needs to meet the skill level RQF Level 6, with a minimum salary of £41,500 or £23,000 for graduate trainees.
If you are successful using this route, you cannot remain in the UK for more than five years in any six-year period, unless you are a high earner in which case, you can stay up to 9 years in any 10-year period. This route does not lead to settlement, however this route permits switching from or to other statuses. For example, as an Intra-Company status holder you could switch to a Skilled Worker status while inside the UK. This type switching will move a person into a route for settlement.
